Only a few cars can match the elegance and majesty of Lamborghini. From the excellent branding, naming all their models after bulls to signify raw energy and power, to the sleek design, you can do nothing but marvel at it in awe when you see a Lamborghini pass by. To the privileged few who own the vehicle, every moment in the driver's seat is savored. Despite the company over-delivering to car enthusiasts and consumers with every model, at the 2007 Frankfurt motor show, Lamborghini decided to go a step further and absolutely blow your mind.
Enter the Reventon, which means "burst" in Spanish, looking at the car's specifications; we'd realize that this is an appropriate name indeed. Lamborghini has long maintained a strong reputation for exclusivity (only 1227 units of all Lamborghini models produced in 2010) and speed, and the Reventon is the most exclusive and the fastest Lamborghini in existence to date. Only 20 Reventons exist today (all 20 being pre-ordered before launch), it reaches well over 200 miles per hour and reaches 60mph from rest in around 3.4 seconds. The pre-tax price is a whopping 1.5 million USD which is expected considering the exclusivity of the vehicle.
The Lamborghini Reventon is equipped with a 6.5 litre, v12 engine sporting 650 horse power, revving up this unbelievable machine. The appearance of the car makes it more unique as it looks like no other car. It has several ridges and curves which complement its ferocious specifications and make it look like a beast indeed. The concept design was inspired by an F22 fighter plane and looking at the fighter plane, a reasonable resemblance is present, though most would agree that the Reventon looks even more menacing. The matt finish is rare for a car but it definitely suits the design of the Reventon. Much of the vehicle is carbon fiber, this includes both the interior and the exterior, and carbon fiber is used on the interior to protect the LCD dials of the car. It is also equipped with carbon ceramic disk brakes to ensure quick halting which is much needed considering the atrocious speeds this Lamborghini is capable of reaching.
The only issue with the car is the price. Looking at the specifications, it is almost similar to the specifications of the latest Lamborghini Murcielago, however the Mucrielago is a fraction of the Reventon's price (granted it is still expensive) the price is mainly due to the fact that it has a unique design and only 20 are available. For the business magnate or presidents (the Chechan president is known to own one) or anyone who enjoys financial abundance, there is no reason as to why you wouldn't get yourself one of these splendid pieces of workmanship, but from an economic standpoint, the Reventon is definitely not worth the price. Despite the price, you can't really complain. There is no doubt that the Reventon is a flawless car, from the exterior to its interior to the monstrous engine that sits at the back of the car.
